چکیده

Aims. With the accumulation of polarization data in gamma-ray burst (GRB) prompt phase, models can be tested. Methods. We predicted time-integrated polarizations 37 GRBs with observation. used their observed spectral parameters to do this. In model, emission mechanism is synchrotron radiation, and magnetic field configuration region was assumed large-scale ordered. Therefore, degrees (PDs) are upper limits. Results. For most detected by Gamma-ray Burst Polarimeter (GAP), POLAR, AstroSat, PD match corresponding PD. Hence synchrotron-emission model a ordered interpret both moderately low PDs ($\sim10\%$) POLAR relatively high ($\sim45\%$) GAP AstroSat well. fields these GRB phases or at least during peak times dominated component. However, 110721A 180427A lower than values. Because an predicts upper-limit for models, observations two bursts challenge model. Then we predict High-energy Polarimetry Detector (HPD) Low-energy (LPD) on board upcoming POLAR-2. concentrated values HPD will higher LPD, which might different from predictions dissipative photosphere more accurate multiband highly desired test phase.

Tail Emission of Prompt Gamma-Ray Burst Jets

Tail emission of the prompt gamma-ray burst (GRB) is discussed using a multiple emitting sub-shell (inhomogeneous jet, sub-jets or mini-jets) model, where the whole GRB jet consists of many emitting sub-shells. One may expect that such a jet with angular inhomogeneity should produce spiky tail emission. However, we found that the tail is not spiky but is decaying roughly monotonically. The glob...

Gamma-Ray Burst Prompt Emission: Implications from Shock Acceleration Theory

The principal paradigm for gamma-ray bursts suggest that the prompt transient gamma-ray signal arises from multiple shocks internal to the relativistic expansion. This paper illustrates some properties of diffusive acceleration at relativistic shocks that pertain to GRB models, providing interpretation of the BATSE/EGRET data. Using a standard Monte Carlo simulation, computations of the spectra...

High Energy Emission from the Prompt Gamma-Ray Burst

We study the synchrotron and synchrotron self-Compton (SSC) emission from internal shocks that are responsible for the prompt γ-ray emission in GammaRay Bursts (GRBs), and consider the relation between these two components, taking into account the high energy cutoff due to pair production and Thomson scattering. We find that in order for the peak energy of the synchrotron to be Ep ∼ 300 keV wit...

Prompt Neutrino Emission from Gamma-Ray Bursts

Recent observations show that some or possibly all long-duration gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) arise from the core collapse of massive stars. In this case, the GRB environments are believed to be preburst stellar winds. We here study prompt neutrino emission from reverse shocks as a result of the interaction of relativistic fireballs with their surrounding wind matter. We find that for reasonable par...
